I am a (30) thirty year veteran with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office in the Specialized Investigations Bureau. Presently, I directly supervise a (3) man technical support unit which handles all of the electronic surveillance equipment our agency uses for criminal investigations. I am also the Project Director for several of our technology projects, one of which is the Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR). The growth of this system and daily operations can be quite a challenge on most days. I also do the purchasing & maintenance on this equipment which requires me to have contact with sales representatives & vendors for the various services necessary to operate on a daily basis. The responsibilities of the technology projects as well as the purchase and acquisition of other technologies, often puts me in direct contact with LATECH Security. LATECH is the vendor currently under State Contract for the equipment that we purchase from PIPS Technology for our ALPR System. They have been a great asset to our agency when we are purchasing & seeking current and new technology. They will frequently forward information on new and current products that we already own and might be looking to acquire. They have also been extremely helpful and responsive to our needs and questions. They always responds in a timely manner. They have made themselves available for contact around the clock and works to provide an immediate solution to our needs. In the law enforcement field this type of response is not only appreciated, but often mandated.

All is good at our facility. LATECH gives timely responses to any of our needs. They are knowledgeable and we feel comfortable that the job will be done quickly and correctly when called.

Over the past few months we have had to upgrade our property access software. LATECH was one of three we were referred to by the vendor of Win DSX. However, they did mention the wonderful service LATECH has performed for our retail locations. Once we had the opportunity to experience your service first-hand, we were not disappointed. All service has been completed in a timely manner and many of the repairs were explained so we could understand exactly what was being done. LATECH staff is courteous, prompt and efficient. The technicians are always personable, neat and make efficient use of their time. The problems reported are researched either on our sight or virtually. Then, a technician fixes the problem at their location or will send someone to ours. They are patient with me when I call, and will keep working until the problem is fixed.
